Elsewhere

Welcome

Our shelves are filled with stories chosen with care. You’ll find the beautifully strange alongside the quietly familiar, small press discoveries, prize-winning literature, and voices you may not have heard yet but will want to return to.

We seek out lesser-known gems and independent publishers, while also keeping space for the classics and contemporary hits that have shaped how we read. From Nordic authors in translation to English-language works from across the world, our collection is built to surprise, delight, and spark conversation.

About us

Elsewhere is a family-run bookshop. We’re Tiffany and Marcus. Tiffany loves books, Marcus loves Tiffany, and together we love creating spaces where people can gather: over coffee, art, parties, book clubs, or just for the fun of it.

We’re curious about people and language, and wanted to offer a place that feels approachable yet inspiring, a taste of the Nordics in a common language, alongside literature from around the world. On our shelves you’ll find lesser-known voices, small press treasures, and the beloved Nordic and English-language classics and contemporary hits. We’ve also curated a thoughtful children’s section, because we believe in spaces that welcome every age, and in the idea that adults benefit from nurturing their inner child too.

We love Malmö, and we felt it was missing a place where people could slow down, gather, and let go. A place where every visit feels like stepping into something just beyond the ordinary.

We’ve built the space ourselves, tearing down walls, painting, building the shelves, to create a place that is both deeply personal and openly shared. It is our invitation, an extension of your own home, made for those who love the beautifully weird.

You’re welcome to browse.
To sit.
To disappear a little.
To go Elsewhere.
